  I'm trying to avoid that solution - it looks naff. but got a feeling it's the only way..
  might try doing a 10 frame loop in AE and exporting it as a tiny flv see if i can get it under 35k, will look poo i imagine.

  If within a container movieclip i put an image and a displacement map and the code to create the displacement map from those two elements - if I then try to rotate or scale the container movieclip why does the stupid displacement effect not also transform? so annoying...
