freelance "work" vs freelance "client schmoozing" is something I'm always balancing... billable hours are always less than the number of hours I am "working" even if "working" is sometimes just talking on the phone about something completely random with a potential client, or somebody who can refer me to a potential client.... which is, in a way, unbillable consulting time until a specific job or billing relationship is setup....
So.... freelancing for me is about 30 billable hours per week, but sometimes an all-nighter or two makes that alot more, but the number of randomly unbillable hours is 10-20....
