Total bullshit on the "The name Sci Fi has been associated with geeks and dysfunctional, antisocial boys in their basements with video games and stuff like that, as opposed to the general public and the female audience in particular". Probably said by some asshole over the age of fifty. Science fiction is mainstream and cool these days, as cool as anything else. (*takes glance at highest grossing movies last ten years..lots of scifi there)
This SyFy thing is fucking stupid...why would the "science fiction" channel want to distance itself from, you know, Science Fiction? Do they want to be as fucking vapid as say Mtv distancing itself from playing actual music? It seems so..
