Yours, sorry to say, would be No. 8. But, like you said, you've a lot to learn (as all of us should still), so I thought this link might be helpful. But you should have known better than to show something you don't stand behind 100%. Because of course, the client may choose that one : (
And there world is full of logos using mountains in circles, not just the Prudential mark.
Maybe try something using the bamboo and perhaps integrating that into typography, but please, try to find typefaces that evoke the right feeling for company and what they do.
