    Return it with the test results and they should swap it over no questions asked. Don't start putting all your digital 'valuables' on something that's spitting back read/write errors from the word go. That's a recipe for disaster.

    For portability, or for people storing large quantities of porn and movies etc I think a single hard drive is fine. For storing business data, a RAID1 storage device is a better way to go. Then you'll never be on here complaining about how the one and only copy of all your data just died... it costs a bit more, but that's what you pay for peace of mind.
