    I had an XA2 once. I think the camera reads the film's ISO speed from the barcode on the film, if you take a pencil eraser and rubbing alcohol, you can probably clean the contacts in the film compartment, that may solve your problem if everything is predictably overexposed. Alternately, try 50 ISO film.

    If the shutter is always staying open for a long, similar amount of time, it could be a bad solenoid

    Also I believe the light meter was a NOT though-the-lens, so try cleaning anything that looks like a little eye on the front of the camera, both with clamshell open and closed.

    It is possible that a finger is in front of a meter cell, but I don't mean to insult you.....
