If you considered godaddy, I'll vent here:
I once bought a domain through godaddy auctions, they charged me $5 for "auctions membership" - it was unexpected, but ok. A week ago I got an email stating that my annual membership was renewed, account charged automatically. What a bunch of cocks! I was forced to get the membership when buying the domain, but wasn't aware it would be autocharged the next year!
It was my fault not to have studied the small print, I agree. But as a result, I am moving my domains away from godaddy now. By sneakily charging me $5 for bogus membership they lose much more business they had from me.
