siteflip.com... used for years. cheap and reliable. the actual space and bandwidth is 10x what is listed on their site.

depends on your hosting needs. server side languages? databases? storage? bandwidth?

We've been with Media Temple for a few years now and they have been excellent for most of it. With our old host we encountered the Digg effect on a few occasions, but with (mt) we are managing much better uptime levels.

(just to be clear, that's a referral link which gives us a little change back if you decide to go with Media Temple)

I'd never recommend DreamHost to anyone. And for all the hype of MediaTemple, there's nothing real special about them and their prices are higher than other hosts that provide the same services/reliability.
That said, LiquidWeb seems to be the best/cheapest/most reliable that i've found.

Shashi -
I'm in the process of transferring all my client accounts from NetSol to GoDaddy for price reasons alone. But I'd fix your admin section to make the account/order history a lot more intuitive/user-friendly. Right now, it's a bundle of clicks to expand/collapse and doesn't really show a straight forward list of EVERYTHING that was purchased, across all accounts, reverse-chronological.
For businesses that use(d) NetSol to bill back to their clients, this is a nightmare. GoDaddy also does this quite well.

ok, ok. there are lots of suggestions and most of them seem like the same shit. I need a new hosting asap and I would go with MT but I've heard many stories and I don't want to pay 20/mo. I am currently paying 12, so is there anything out there reliable, good, and around this price?
Thanks!

I have used www.jaguarpc.net for years and can say nothing but good things about their options and support.

In my experience, you get what you pay for. It just depends on what you need. If you're just going to be hosting some basic sites and don't need anything super robust, you can find some lower priced options that should work fine. If you want all the bells and whistles, don't go with a cheap company because you're not going to be happy.
