Back when i worked in a liquor store (a second job), i got a call from my bank saying that a check had bounced, which was very likely because i wasn't making very much money at the time. When i asked who i had written a bad check to, they said no one (yet), it was my PAYCHECK that bounced!! i was so pissed. The stupid thing is that the co-owner of the store was formerly a frickin CPA (she was quite a bitch as well).
Even worse than that is it happened a couple more times. One of the new guys disappeared in the middle of a work day because, in addition to waiting thru a 3-week pay period (they only paid on the 2nd and 4th fridays), the bank wouldn't let him cash his check. i went into the bottle room in the back to tell him he had a food delivery to make and he was gone. Couldn't blame him in the least.- This happened to a friend of mine frequently. Was a huge hassle.Jaline
