zarkonite - honestly, i think the freelancing in vancouver is fine, all the fulltime freelancers I know of have a solid stream of incoming work, i've just been too much of a chicken shit to jump in with both feet, so I'm looking to do a part time gig for a couple of days and freelance the rest of the time. mind you, this is just my opinion. I haven't worked anywhere else, so I can't really compare.
