I don't do fulltime + freelance, but I have a 60/40 split.
3 days at an in-house gig, 2 days of freelance.
I feel fortunate to report that my freelance work is going well and have a lot of work, but that makes the situation that I'm in more of a 60/60 split.
if you follow that math that would be 120%, which means that I'm always working weekends.
so basically my conclusion is that freelance is taking whether you do it part time or full time. I think it depends on your personality. If you're a workaholic like myself, you'll find yourself working all the time.

- that's a really good setup - It's hard to find a 3day job, but you're doing it exactly how I'm planning/trying tomeatball
- if you get a girlfriend, you'll want to fuck instead of freelancing... I've stopped working weekends!zarkonite
- Dude, if you really love what you are doing you will find yourself working all the time regardless the split...NONEIS
