yeah, i like AS1, i'm learning AS3 now. in most cases AS1 does the job fine.
and yes I know the timeline is the same in cs4 as afx so it's no real problem, just all my tricks and work methods for the previous version of flash are now redundant. where as a piano players method of playing a trill remains for each piano he plays on, it doesn't become redundant once he gets a korg synth... the piano player over years can develop his craft as the tool remain the same.
n this industry the tools keep changing, updating. so i was jsut thinking, at what cost it is to our craft? Soon a designer's biggest skill will be his/hers ability to keep up to date with the technology rather than their ability to make good designs.
