Avery may not be allowed back into the NHL! Crazy.
Short version:

I just want to comment on how it's become like a common thing in the NHL for guys to fall in love with my (former girlfriends). I don't know what that's about, but enjoy the game tonight." Avery's former girlfriend, actress Elisha Cuthbert of the television show "24" and the movie "Old School," is dating Calgary defenseman Dion Phaneuf. She also had been romantically linked to Montreal defenseman Mike Komisarek."

I don't like him at all, but I can see why certain hockey fans would (just like a lot of fans love the fighting, or just how some people like seeing other people fighting and embarrassing themselves, in general).
There's no doubt that he's disgusting, but I was surprised that he got into so much trouble about it.
