    semi-greasy breakfast for the stomach. Something like bacon egg and cheese on a roll (NY bodega ones are perfect).

    A couple quarts of water (while drinking is best).

    Some form of pain-killer for the immediate pain.

    Bloody Mary. V8 is good, but a little more alcahol in your system numbs you a bit. Beer works, but against you in the long run.

    Good sleep with no noise and no light while all of the above take effect.

    Another quart of water for the rest of the day...

    Day off from anything requiring thought.

    Avoid coffee, as it dehydrates you even more.
