  him: it's so nice your parents are coming from brazil to spend the holidays here. i still don't know how's gonna be my family's holidays. maybe i'll go see them before christmas or new years. not sure.

  me: so if it happens you're alone here for one of the festivities.... would you spend with me and my family?
