Its all a bit of a storm in a teacup. There is no chance whatsoever of anything bad happening. The danger is as real as Prince Charle's concerns about a grey goo taking over the world a few years back. Its pure science fiction.
The kind of collisions that are going to be created inside the Large Hadron Collider happen around us all the time. The only difference is that we can't quantify them, measure them, observe them or study them.
So everybody, please relax.
