Well now, I was in Lisbon last year and it was ace. Truly lovely city with some really nice people. I asked for recommendations on here and got a few, check it out below. I also recommend a place called restaurant eleven, but only for lunch as I hear the dinner menu is quite pricey. The lunch menu was great, the place is fairly swank and it has an absolutely gorgeous view of the city.

I also recommend getting a 'Hedonists Guide to Lisbon' its a fairly crappy name for the guidebook but much better than a lonely planet.

Things I would recomemnd is getting up to the castle and checking out the guilbenkian museum (i stayed right near it), also go up to Bairro Alto for the nightlife but watch out for the cheap cocktails, we went from 5.50 per drink to 3 euro. Now they were lovely, but at that price we overindulged a little and the next day was painful to say the least.
