it's an interesting debate, though, the matter of honey being kosher. you can't eat bees, but you can eat honey. normally, if something comes from something that isn't kosher, then that thing isn't kosher. honey from bees is the exception that proves the rule.
i think mostly because a) it's awesome and b) you can make the argument that the bees do not 'produce' the honey but merely 'store' it. but that smacks of postrationalisation to me.
