like many after him Pollock dripped a bunch of paint onto a canvas. Nothing more. Nothing Less. It was new and crazy at the time and the art world fell in love with it. This doesn't take away from the fact they are often beautiful and well composed. Jacksons talent lied within his ability to play the part/role of artist - which is why he is so fondly remember today.
Need proof? Look no further than all the disputed Pollock pieces floating around. Anybody can do. Not everyone can be remembered for doing it.
