Why do you need a second router?
Sounds moe like you want a second wireless access point? (Or a longer range access point?) Or do you want more ethernet ports in the second room?
- My second room is a separate building all together and I only have one phone point in each buildingDancer
- (your LAN should usually only have one router, but can have lots of witches or wifi access pointsribit
- *switches
(witches may not be useful)ribit - ha
What exactly is a switch though?
sorryDancer - so its two separate ADSL connections (two separate BT lines?)ribit
- I have no Ethernet ports anywhereDancer
- A switch is basically just an extender (gives you more ethernet ports) nothing to configure...ribit
- Your BT router must have ethernet ports at the back (otherwise its not a router)ribit
- Sorry, yeah it does have ports but I do not have ports running to my external building. Just a phone lineDancer
