[none] means you don't have a nested style selected yet.
you need to create you character style then nest that character style within your paragraph style.
So, when you go to you paragraph style select drop caps and nested styles> click new nested style > click [none] select your superscript character style that you made. > designate through or up to > words, setences, or periods, to tell indesign when to stop your nested style.
