Well, client likes it, so there's not not too much point in expending effort writing it off. Personally, I think it works well being quite so bold and different - a UK-based company would be a bit ludicrous branded like this, but I can imagine it working in Spain and the continent - so why not sunny Oz too?
I'd tone down the greens - I like the dualtone of the boxed version - the bright green letter 'a' just doesn't look compatible. I'm not sure what the logic behind the pink leaf is, but to me it's nonsensical, and is more a cartoon nose distraction than a letter-part.
