fuck em - idiots will always be idiots and people will always overlook some character flaws in the folk they meet if they themselves get a basically friendly reception. At least nowadays, even the people with dodgy attitudes built in from birth are force fed some small smidgen of self awareness which might bloom into an enlightened outlook eventually.
This is why my post above occurred to me; its unfamiliarity which allows people not to address the issue (or just the facts really) in their own heads and stay in their tribal comfort zone
