I really like the content page - body text feels airy and structured.

The front page? Less so - the toppest header's a bit weak, sub header feels out of position and I'd like there to be some link functionality in the ocean of empty space at right.

The body of the front page is awkward and messy - I like the idea of the bold, red highlight boxes, but their current position in the hierarchy is jarring. I really don't like the 50% red boxes at base - the muddy pink end-effect is awful. Have you just tried grey here?

Overall, I like the structure, but I'm not sure the gradient onButton or 45 degree line details fit - it's like you're over-compensating, trying to make it look like a website. I don't think you need to, I think if you rely on your expert knowledge, your sense of spacing etc will be enough.

If, of course, this is a cheapie job on the side - then, naturally, your version is infinitely better than their current one and would more than suffice. I'm just being picky.

    • erk. by 'subheader' i meant tagline. Subheader, being main graphic, is fine.detritus
    • heh, and there's a 'print' missing from inside 'expert knowledge'.detritus

    • so you reckon hit it with a top nav as well?NewElpaso
    • At least a little bit, yes. I think I agree with madirish about trying horizontal navigation. the v. nav as-is isn't too distinct.detritus
    • christ, it's almost haiku-like. trying to stick entire paragraphs in here!detritus
