Ive been part of the kdu for what feels like years. Yes the kdu mantra seems a bit over the type hype wise, yes dave may seem crazy but he is just a really enthusiastic dude and EXTREMELY loyal to those close to him creatively. Further what seems like propoganda and empty words to you guys, really is just more of an effort to put a message and concept behind the visuals made. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesnt but its about the motivation to at least try with the kdu.
I have not made a dime directly from the KDU and dont really need to, we have a pretty healthy client base and enough of a name to do just fine. The kdu is more like extra credit and the freedom and collaborative effort to make really restraint free work without the headache of clients that actually gets a decent amount of visibility. Son might take his gospel a bit overboard but really its just a bunch of stoked creatives on a variety of levels coming together when time permits to rock out some work for the love of it. Love it or leave it.
