the colonisation of Africa, Sub-Continental India and South America was perpetrated by "societies" that were nominally Christian, this is undeniable.
The colonisation was as much to do with corruption of power as anything else, the teachings of Christ do not condone the enslavement or bondage of any one group of people.
Much in the same vain as Bush claiming to be "christian" and deciding that "an eye for an eye" more suits his purposes than "turn the other cheek".
These people are not religious or spiritual in the slightest.
