My question is, do agencies take you seriously if you don't have a degree?

    Thanks

back in 99 it was no degree necessary as learning 'the web' was the it thing with people, so companies hired anyone on who said they knew html. basically you can learn html from a book but you can't really learn good design.

after the bomb everyone was asking for a 4 year design degree to make sure you were taught good design somewhere along the way.

    now, it's really 50/50.

i'd say if you don't have a degree it might be a little harder for you, but, if you have good design in your portfolio, and you present yourself and your work well you don't really need a good design.

there are some really great self-taught designers out there who never got a degree from a 4 yr. college.

good luck concrete. may the shwartz be with you.
