    there is no interpertation here. the kingdom of god refers plainly to the end of the kingdom of man.

    simple as that.

    fundies CHOOSE to interpret it otherwise because it is too emotionaly devistating to accept Christ was as false as any other prophet.

    Sorry lemmy, I don't see it as simple as that. Many times in the Bible, Jesus is referred to as King. His arrival is referenced as his kingdom coming to this earth. His kingdom is referred to as his work being done on earth.

    So, no, it's not really that simple, and I'm really not twisting things around to make things work.

    Is it easy to look at it, assume what it means, and discredit the Bible? Sure, but look a little deeper.

    Just because there are many opinions, doesn't mean that there is no truth. Ultimately, there is one right interpretation, there is just a lot of debate as to what the correct interpretation is.

    You can't throw out a plethora of prophecies that line up from the OT with one uninformed interpretation of the Bible.
