It also depends on who you are trying to pitch. Young designers who are trying to build a client list vs. season professionals. A lot of designers don't mind and it's up to them, i don't force anything.But on the same token, where you have a strong budget, and it's not spec work, then you need to pay more for comps. I generally break down hourly rates, or day rates for freelancers.
spec work is a different beast. One reason why i only do a limited amount, even tho i have great relationships with the clients.
