2 months does not seem excessive to wait for payment from a client. Sure its a kicker if youre freelance and need the cash but as pascii said, a lot of companies dont send out cheques as soon as they get an invoice. 6 months could be more like it.
Its crap and its not fair but thems the breaks chief and airing your griefs, while completely understandable, is also quite unprofessional. The small claims court is the place for these matters. Also, I dont wanna seem like Im on his side, Im sorry you got messed around.
