if apple weren't so rabidly defensive of their hardware, perhaps they wouldn't be limited to a niche market
for all the mac vs. pc bullshit I see, mac users need to realize that their investment is limited to one hardware manufacturer, and a handful of software developers. PC users may be dominated by the evil microsoft empire in the Operating System wars, but microsoft doesn't manufacture computers, and doesn't depend on hardware sales to stay afloat. apple depends on both.
as developers of internet content, to choose the minority system as a platform is to risk limiting your audience as well.
