Most fonts are kerned for text (looser) setting, so CS's impressive Optical Spacing can definitely improve headlines. Just keep in mind that there isn't yet a machine that can beat a trained eye (for instance, Optical avoids touching pairs, which are sometimes desired). So you may need to make manual adjustments.
