I have no problem with guns but don't own as I would only use them for hunting...and hunting bores me (the midwest/southern/east coast variety, at least). Maybe if I lived in a worse area, I'd keep one safely hidden in the bedroom.
Now an Alaskan brown bear hunt, that would rawk. But I'd rather surf if I ever make it up there, so it's unlikely that Smokies' head will ever grace my living room wall.
