On asking whether she knows who monoboy is, she claimed not to understand, then - with a distinctly generalist tone, which i find an affront to my Britishness, asked me whether I'd been in the pub all afternoon.
So I spat out my tea, threw away my cucumber sandwich and asked her whether she was a racist, to which (and, credit where credit's due) she said "remember - it's better to keep your mouth shut and be thought of as stupid, than to open it and remove all doubt".
When I asked her for her phone number, she very cleverly realised I was having a wank and informed me I should watch my typing.
Smart girl.
