I, personally, think it's a stupid idea. 90% of tattoos on people I know tend to be moronic, idiotic, nonsensical ones that they are stuck with (in my eyes) for life.
Yea, it's cool now, it's *for life*. This isn't an ear/nose ring you take out later if you decide you don't like it.
You're a girl, you like dolphins? You get them doing a dance around your belly button?
Well when you're pregnant, they turn into Shamu.
You're a grade school basketball star? You want to get a tattoo of a basketballs around your bicep?
Smooth move, because 1. that's going to look real fresh when you do nothing related to basketball later in life, and 2. your arms is probably going to get bigger and it's going to look ridiculous.

I guess what I'm trying to say is don't go into something willy nilly.Get something fucking original, and with colour, or at the very least does in fact mean something to you.
Or I think you're a lemming.
Which means nothing to you probably, but that's what I think.
(Don't get 'Hines Ward's autograph tattooed on your forearm... I can't even explain how many fucking ridiculous tattoos I've seen, haha.)
