this is what i learned from watching discovery channel if you get trapped in the snowy wilderness while driving.
burn the tires to send the smoke signal and keep warm.
if you were to go on foot, rip the seating elements to use as insulation for your foot and other areas.
protect your head since a lot of body heat will escape from there.
protect your eyes, lights bouncing off the snow will blind you and really damage your vision.
eat bugs, worms if you can't find any food. it's not tasty but protein helps.
there are more. before i started to watch the show, my survival rate on the wild was pretty slim. now i feel i am somewhat equipped with the knowledge.
