Bit heavy on the eyes, man.
'This is a website for my services, not a portfolio.' - if you're struggling with copy, how about plainly listing what you've done? At the moment you've only got a single line description, which is a bit worthless from a prospective client's POV.
Whilst I can see where you're coming from with the lo-tech feel - would a client? Or would they just see curiously hued html text and a big tiled image? What value would they see in that for their own needs?
