    i have a client who is in manufactured (trailer) homes and modular (better than site built) homes

    the guidelines on premanufactured homes seems to far surpass those of site built in building requirements, assembly conditions, and materials used

    his prefab homes are delivered in no more than 5 pieces and can be mounted to a foundation or basement in a day

    the walls are 2 inches thicker and better insulated

    most clients even brick the home once it erected to result in a solid non movable home with 9 inch walls as opposed to the site built homes of only 4 inches that can be placed anywhere not just specially zoned areas

    dollar for dollar most american site built homes between $100,000 - $500,000 are constructed of cheap materials and are not worth half the sum of their parts the day of move in
