the data is still there as long as it's not overwritten by something else. and they can still find it even after it's been overwritten up to 4 times..
so, take it to a pro recovery shop and get it done. it cost $1000+ to get it done.
if you don't have the cash for it now, take out the drive and store it safe until you have. that's what I did, and in about month or two I have enough cash to get everything recovered.
I have around 4000 photos from the last 3 years and 6 month worth of work on there.
