I like your idea of the sun tan lotion bottle and the 'don't get burned' tagline is good.
But I agree the execution is somewhat lacking. The orange sun-ray background looks cheap and amateur which is wrong for this poster since you are advertising against cheap airlines who use orange as their brand colour (easyjet).
I think the bottle should be mocked up for real (ie get a sticker printed and use an existing bottle). It can be shot in some depressing holiday resort type place. If the bottle is in focus then the bg of the shot can be massively blured with depth of field. That way the bg doesn't take over.
Also type needs a lot of work.
