    the wonderful thing about this movie is that is shows both sides of the same coin.

    Agreed. When I first saw it, I was really wondering about if the character of Betty is how Americans think Canadians are like, specifically from Ontario (like myself). I'm sure there's some truth to it (ie. Betty being extra polite and happy, vs. Rita, who was more subdued and had obviously seen different things, even though she had amnesia: sort of like Canadians vs. Americans), but the concept was just exaggerated.

    The only disappointing thing about it was the DVD features, haha. But it's probably b/c David Lynch wants us to come up with our own theories.
