I can't believe he was one of, if not the first person to make a TV show that depicted no sound in space, the way it really is.

You've been in space??? Just watched this. It's cross between Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars (if they only focused on Hans Solo) and the Goonies.
The fights scenes were one of the worst choreographed fights I've ever seen. All in all I give it a C+/B-.
