This is the designer's cunundrum. We want to create design that makes sense to us, the designer who thinks about design almost all the time (minus some time for sex), but our art is somehow subordinate to stupid fuckers with cash and opinions void of any design experience or background. Too many designers let themselves be client bitches, when it should be the exact opposite.
Sadly, it doesn't matter how good you are. Any dumb-fucker can look at a piece of art and exclaim his/her own opinion about it as if it were fact. Likewise, that person can also exclaim to you how you should do your job... or else you don't get paid.
Not everyone is creative, but our happy-mushy Disney brainwashed society thinks everyone is special. Likewise, everyone thinks they are also creative when this just isn't true. It's in fact such a wild distortion that is rampant in society. "I painted a picture in art class and got a gold star, so I must be creative!" Bullshit. Such fucking bullshit.
What a nice profession we have, eh? The trick is to accept clients that listen to you and respect your creativity. Tell the others to go fuck off.
Whew... Talk about a "let it all out" moment. LOL
