Hi discipler :-)
I could go on about Anagenetic speciation, Cladogenesis, Alloptric or perapatric branching, etc (yes, I was a bio major), but I'm not sure that we're even arguing about evoultion/creationism here, what we're REALLY talking about is literal interpretation of the word vs understanding of the lessons being taught. In the end, evolution is a great discussion for over a beer, but I doubt we'll ever convince each other :-)
for me, I always try to remember that "the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life" and try to keep to the spirit of what is said and not the letter
