I'm currently filling out tender applications, oh the fun, and I'm struggling to define what the company does in a succinct way.

I'm leaning towards 'brand communications' but I'm not sure if that will pigeon hole me a bit to much.

What do you say?

I'm currently working on a research project looking into magazine design. I'm in need of some authoritative books on the subject.

I really need books with a good grounding that can be sited when analyzing magazine layouts.

Does anyone have any suggestions/favourites?

My girlfriend is into making things in a big way anything and everything from knitting to jewelry which is great. However we have a small apartment and a shed load of arts and crafts.

I'm thinking of setting her up a blog and then using sites like Esty to sell the bits she doesn't want. Can anyone recommend any sites similar to Esty to use as well?

I'm in need of a photography stylist for a shoot.
The shoot is of a drinks range, looking to recreate a summer outdoor look and feel in the middle of winter in London.

Anyone know of/worked with any good stylists with experience in this area?

I'm in the middle of doing some research on magazine design and would like to get a feel for who you all think are the top magazine designers past or present. I have my ideas but I really want to get some second party opinions.

Wrap around label Dec 10, 08, 7:59 a.m.

I need to create a label that wraps around a paper cup. The cup is a cylinder, slightly tapered narrower at the bottom.

A square label won't wrap around and follow the bottom of the cup. Does anyone know how to work out the shape the label needs to be?

Printer suggestions Apr 10, 08, 7:08 a.m.

I have been tasked by my manager to find some options to replace our aging printer.

Needs to be a bit of a work horse, reasonable colour accuracy and A3+.

So my work has agreed to let me out into the world to do a part time course or a few short ones. I have had a bit of a look around but I'm not finding to much except for London College of Communication.

Anyone have any recommendations? I'm looking for theroy/design courses at an advanced level. I'm mainly print design based so that way inclined would be best.
