Just quickly thumbed through my copy which arrived this morning, probably the most comprehensive documentation of Herb Lubalin's work (except for that book that costs about £500) it's beautiful, I'm still shaking with giddy excitement, and as an added bonus it has a short piece on Alan Fletcher and Karl Gerstner

may sound a little dumb or obvious, but I'm still getting use to Indesign...

Problem:
I've outline a load of text, but now I want to selected individual characters within the text, is there a way of doing this???
basically I have created three posters (a series of ads) where I have designed the text to flow continuously across all three, which I have done in one document, now I want to put them in three separate pages in the document...

I was at my folks house last night, clearing out the last bits of my adolescent life that exists in my old room, when I stumbled upon a diary from 2003, it was pretty full, mainly of rubbish, ramblings, in fact I didn't really know I'd kept one, here is what I wrote on this day...

Friday 30.7.1993

Today was a good day, I went to Video 1 with Adam and completed Final Fight, I played as Haggar and Adam was Cody, it cost me £1.80 and died 9 times, it took us ages, but happy I did it, the ending wasn't that good though. On the way home I bought a Mr Freeze and a packet of Nerds.

Went out for a ride with Hirsty, Baz and Martin this afternoon, we couldn't go that far as Martin had to tell his mum where he was every 30 minutes, I think that is weird.

Hahaha its weird and full of shit like this, I read through it and it made me quite emotional, weird how something so insignificant at the time can become very powerful, once the memory of it has almost gone!

Lambretta/Vespa: Italian, but because of it's place in UK popular culture (Mods) it can be seen as a kind of symbol of British-ness

The Balti: A Pakistani food, associated with England (Birmingham etc)

Basically for a project I'm working on I have stumbled upon a amateur photographer's work, which is exactly the location/style I have in mind, so after showing the Flickr page to the client, they love the shots and would like me to contact said person! so here starts my problem...

Does anyone know how I could get in touch?, do I need an account?

I was in a meeting a client, and they started to talk about their commitment to sustainability, and someone in the meeting said, "yes...this is something we want to hang our hat on" since then it appears to have rubbed off on everyone I see, was at a party at the weekend and a friend said it, I can't remember why, but he said it, who in gods name comes up with such dreadful phrases, If I hear it again I may not be responsible for my actions!
