Damn the first 5 years of my 20s have gone past too quickly. It saddens me to think I'm now closer to 30 than 20 lol.. still so much partying and fun to be had before I "grow up".

Very cool practical example of the rendering power that's now available in flash.

We started building a tech demo like this ourselves with a 250,000 polygon model of a car the other day and it was looking beautiful using away3D, a shame that ours was only that. Digitas beat us to the mark well and truly :(

I'm an iPad owner, and it makes me sad to think I'll probably not see anything like this in it's browser for a while..

Hey guys,

Illustrator keeps saving out files and in the process the gradients are getting lost. The objects which have gradients get filled with 100% black when you re-open the file..

Anyone else had this problem??

So today a delivery man came into the office with a large box. Curiously, it was a delivery for a small design shop who share some of our office space.

They ordered 20,000 business cards in 1 type of card for a small restaurant starting up locally. That's pretty keen.

Hoping to use this on a site - from what I understand reading the license, it is ok to embed on a site using css as long as the amount of users does not exceed 1000 per day.

Doing some for my girlfriends father, a very well respected and accomplished structural engineer/designer. Trying to aim for something really premium but understated.

First of all,

Anyone have any guesses as to what stock they have used in these? Looks like a thicker card too maybe around 400gsm?

Secondly -
Any reccommended printers in Australia preferrably Brisbane? Price is not really an issue if the quality is there :)

I'm being asked to break up the word "economics" into "eco–nomics" in a logo I'm working on, and it looks a bit retarded. The client wants to emphasize the "eco" part as it is an environmental brand, which I'm doing through the use of two colour tones instead.

To me it feels like such a bad move to break up a word as it makes it less legible and also looks naff from the negative space it creates.. what are you're guys thoughts on the use of these?
