Keep Calm Poster Apr 18, 11, 7:47 a.m.
Was at Target yesterday and came across this nice little poster, except Target decided they couldn't completely rip off the original, so changed the typeface:

Joy Division Poster May 4, 09, 9:18 a.m.
Does anyone remember a Joy Division poster that came out a few years ago that was glow in the dark?
(And no, I'm not talking about the Love Will Tear Us Apart poster by http://theluxuryofprotest.com/ )

US Tax Question Jan 8, 09, 1:41 p.m.
So I did a web site for a friend of mine, who builds bicycles. We are doing a trade of a web site for a bike. Basically it was meant to be an even barter trade.
Question: is there any easy way for him to write off the expense on his taxes? If he 'pays' me in cash, I have to pay taxes, and then if I turn around and 'buy' a bike from him, he has to pay taxes on that 'purchase'.
Thoughts? Should he just fill out a 1099-misc (I think that's the correct form) and write off the bike as a miscellaneous expense? Or does he write it off as a 'promotional item'? Or do we just not bother with the tax thing period and call it a trade?
Thanks.

CSS mouseover Cheat Jul 10, 08, 12:59 p.m.
Working on a project and wondering if there is an easier way of creating CSS 'mouseovers' without having to create a class for every single image that I want a hover state for...
Thoughts?

Nah und Fern Jun 25, 08, 9:11 a.m.
Any one picked up the box set? Just received my copy yesterday (both 4CD & 2LP)...
Two tracks into Königsforst and must say that Wolfgang Voigt & Jörg Burger did a fantastic job with the subtle remastering of these albums.

Finding little to no work at the moment. Anyone else sharing my pain?
Rich Black Question May 2, 08, 11:09 a.m.
So I have a project I'm trying to get to press quickly, and my illustrator used a number of different rich blacks in his drawings.
Is there any way in Illustrator CS3 to deal with rich blacks and easily convert them to just a straight black?
Movie Titles Apr 1, 08, 6:03 a.m.
I can't seem to find it, but can anyone point me towards the Flickr set that had all the old movie titles from the 40s/50s?
Thanks.
10.5.2 Feb 13, 08, 11:48 a.m.
Has anyone else had problems with 10.5.2 and their wireless connection?
Since updating to said version, my upload speeds start out really fast, then after about a minute or two, drop to between 30 and 50k/s...
Padded envelopes Feb 1, 08, 9:19 a.m.
So, I have a mess of padded envelopes at my home office that are really beginning to drive me nuts.
I don't send out that many packages, so does anyone have thoughts on what I can do with them other than simply throwing them out?
Franklin Gothic Jan 24, 08, 11:45 a.m.
Other than Matthew Carter's redraw for MOMA, has any other foundry released a good copy of Franklin Gothic?
Thoughts Jan 17, 08, 11:12 a.m.
In my free time, I've been running a PDF magazine called Five to Nine. Anyways, I am making a compendium from its first year and am looking for some thoughts on the cover.
It's going to be printed through Lulu or Blurb, and I'm probably going to be the only one to buy it. (I enjoy showing the magazine off when I talk with prospective clients and other design firms, but that's about it).
So, have at it.
