Has anyone else had problems with 10.5.2 and their wireless connection?
Since updating to said version, my upload speeds start out really fast, then after about a minute or two, drop to between 30 and 50k/s...

i had to reset my home connection last night.
are you running time machine? that will most definitely affect the connection. how, i have no idea, but during the first backup it wiped out my connection entirely.

Yes, I am running time machine, and if it is due to that, that is beyond messed up.

yup. although i haven't been 'working' while time machine has been doing it's thing yet so i can't be 100% sure. but when it did it's first backup it shut down my wireless to the point that i was almost on the phone with the cable provider complaining that the connection went dead.

Just turned off Time Machine and rebooted my modem, but to no avail. I think I need to go by an ethernet cable...

Im pretty sure someone else had a problem with the update yesterday, search in filter to see how they solved the problem.

Do you guys not realise what time machine is? It will run backups of your files, probably ALL of them unless you've set it up correctly, which will take a very long time and strangle the bandwidth on what ever connection you are using. So running time machine on a wireless connection is a very bad idea, you may have noticed. Ethernet connection will definitely be quicker, but internet upload speeds are poor anyway so don't expect miracles.
I'm surprised no-one has realised what i've just said already. I thought this place was populated by considerably computer-savvy people.- I think someone hasn't been laid in awhile. Go rub one off real quick, we'll wait.404

Leopard is still more slow than Tiger, and I don't run Time Machine. Maybe I should just avoid Azureus unless a site doesn't accept Transmission (which does happen).

Calm down there buddy. I'm not an idiot. Time machine is not running over my wireless connection. It is running through a USB2.0 cable.

i thought a person could actually read a few sentences of a post.
i said the FIRST time, time machine backed up my system, which is the big one where it duplicates your entire hd to the new drive (connected via firewire) is when it chocked down my wireless internet connection. we weren't talking about running time machine wirelessly through the new airport extreme hd doohicky.
