I work at a photo lab / camera retailer.

Secretly took this shot of a customer today with the new Canon G10.

Its my favorite point and shoot to date.

IDE install Nov 24, 08, 9:04 a.m.

Any geeks out there wanna lend a thought?

I'm upgrading this old p.o.s. dell for my boss, with a new IDE HD, 80gb, plugged it in just like the old one expecting this to be a 1 hour job. Windows disk in Drive, starts windows set up only to say
"windows did not detect an installed harddrive..."

I have it plugged in right, I'm not a moron. I've tried 2 drives and 2 ribbon cables.

any ideas?

Now Federal: Housing Market. Sep 8, 08, 5:15 p.m.

I needed a good title to catch your attention.

The U.S. Government is taking over the housing market by propping up Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac with $100 Billion each. These two companies will be bound to repaying the U.S. through a 'credit line' - what will probably become a federally backed bureau or more less corporation. This corporation will be the keeper of two of the largest mortgage-owning campies in the United States. In otherwords, the Government will ultimately acquire the power formally held by mortgage giants.

This is a disaster. Driving more speculation, inflation and debt - this shit has got to STOP!
